If you’re unsure about your diagnosis or a proposed treatment plan, you can receive an unbiased second medical opinion from a specialist doctor. It will help you understand if your recommended surgery or treatment is medically necessary, or if any alternatives are available to you.

WHAT WE CAN HELP WITH

This service can be used for any critical illness or complex case causing concern, such as cancer and tumour cases, major organ transplant, major trauma, severe burns, stroke, autoimmune diseases (e.g. multiple sclerosis), congenital anomalies, heart disease, paralysis, senile dementia, rare conditions, slipped vertebral discs, digestive and stomach issues, and a variety of other health conditions.

1Terms and Conditions

1. All the personal and medical data, referred to as "CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION" contained in this enrolment, or provided to TELADOC HEALTH in any manner, including telephonically, in relation to your case, will be used by TELADOC HEALTH with the only purpose of delivering an Expert Medical Opinion. However, there might be instances when your personal data will be communicated to medical experts and hospitals for them to provide the Expert Medical Opinion service.

2. The confidential information will be registered in a secure and proper manner. Your data will be anonymised to protect your privacy.

3. You hereby accept that TELADOC HEALTH and its employees gets in touch with you to obtain the necessary information to provide you with the service.

4. You agree that the information that you provide to us will be accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. It is your responsibility to ensure that all relevant information has been provided to TELADOC HEALTH.

5. The physician rendering the Expert Medical Opinion Report will not have the benefit of examining you in person, the ability to order additional tests, or have any information beyond what you provide. Since the medical experts will not personally examine you or order additional tests, it is not a medical diagnosis. The Report is intended to provide you with information to supplement the information you have already received from your treating physicians. The information contained in the Expert Medical Opinion Report shall not be used to substitute for your physician’s recommendations.

6. You should discuss the Report with your own doctors, who are responsible for your care. TELADOC HEALTH will not make any preferential recommendations and shall be held harmless from any liability arising out of preparation or delivery of the Report and your use of the Report.

7. The EMO service is not applicable to cases of first aid, accidents and ICU related critical illness. No prescription will be provided.

8. You acknowledge that the consultation may be recorded for the purpose of quality control.

HOW IT WORKS

They will go through your medical history and provide a final report with advice in 7-10 working days. Your specialist doctor will be there for any further questions you might have.

A physician case manager will be in touch within 24 working hours of receiving your request to obtain your medical history.
Your case will then be assigned to a specialist doctor with expertise aligned to your diagnosis/medical condition.
